TURIN, Italy, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Kang Yun-Mi and Sung Si-Bak won the 6th
and 7th gold medals in the short-track speed skating for South Korea on Friday
at the Winter Universiade here.
Kang timed five minutes and 04.406 seconds to win the women's 3,000m while
Sung took the men's 3,000m in 5:54.190.
The short-track speed skating event will be concluded on Friday night with
two relay competitions to be played.
The only gold medal the South Koreans missed in the past eight short-track
events was the women's 1,000m, which was won by Chinese Liu Cuijia on Thursday.
Sung was leading a 1-2-3 finish in the men's 3,000m with Lee Seung-Hoon and
Lee Hyeon-Sung on the second and third respectively.
Hur Hee-Been of South Korea took the women's bronze in 3,000m with
Chinese Sun Linlin pocketing the silver.
